Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Yellowstone National Park

This was Tanner's very first vacation.  We went with my whole family except for Cliff.  He was still in Florida.  I'm not quite sure what Kiffen was thinking with these glasses, it was a phase he went through I guess.   

                              Of course we had to see Old Faithful. 

  We went river rafting down the Snake River.  Call me over-protective, but I didn't take Tanner rafting on this trip.  I just thought he was a little too young :). 

 And we're off!!!  We had a great time!  The Rapids were wild, the water refreshing(cold), and the best part was that we went home with the same amount of family that we came with.  One of our family traditions that we do is make up songs.  I have been doing this with all my nieces and nephews and now with my kids.  We were so excited to go on this vacation that I worked with Bridger, Savannah, and Kaleb for weeks ahead of time on our vacation song.  Without further adieu...

There are people in the car, who's ready to go.

Jackson Hole is our destination today.

The snake river is where we're gonna get wet.

On our great big exciting rafting trip.

Our Grandma will squeel when we all pull a

prank, and say "Look! Kaleb's got a snake!"

I'm still waiting on my Grammy;).  There is one more verse, but I can't remember how it goes exactly.  I'll have to ask the kids and then I'll post it.  All in all this was one of my favorite vacations.

 We jumped into rapids in a thermally warmed river and let the current just carry us down. I lost my glasses jumping in and couldn't help Kiffen drive home. Yeah, I'm that blind. We went and saw the wonderful "bar J wranglers". A cowboy singing group in Jackson Hole that perform while you eat out under the stars just like the cowboys used to. They do cowboy poetry, comedy, singing and a little dancing. Oh yeah, we also saw a few animals.

When I took this picture, Kaleb had no idea what was behind him.  As a side note, did he not have the cutest curls?

Bridger and Savannah knew he was back there, which is why they aren't right up next to the fence.  Smart kids.
